| Objective
The Fund aims to provide a superior real rate by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of equities, Canadian and global (U.S. and international). The Fund will also invest in fixed income securities to reduce volatility.
Stocks chosen are considered to be either undervalued in relation to their historical price, industry competitors and/or the overall market, or have prospects for above average earnings growth.
The Fund's fixed income component will primarily invest in high quality debt. Returns in excess of income will be gained through active duration, yield curve and sector management.
McLean Budden adjusts the Fund's asset mix percentages periodically to take advantage of market opportunities, but stays within the following ranges: stocks 68 to 82%, fixed income 10 to 30% and cash 0 to 15%.

Volatility Profile
The MB LifePlan Growth Fund is suitable for clients with moderate to high-risk tolerance and a medium to long-term investment horizon.
The Fund invests in a broad array of assets (stocks, bonds and cash) therefore; it is less risky than an investment in a single asset class. The MB LifePlan Growth Fund invests primarily in equity assets therefore it is subject to higher volatility. Stocks have traditionally risen in value more than other types of investments and they offer the greatest potential for long-term growth. However, investing in stocks is also riskier than other investments as stock prices fluctuate more than other types of investments. The fund will increase or decease in value based on the market value of the assets it holds.
